Aerialist duo The Sisters

Maggie and Audrey Zielinski of South Bend discovered aerial arts at Elite Sports Academy in South Bend about five years ago. Audrey, 14, loves the silk, and Maggie, 16, the hoop. During their Oaklawn’s Got Talent performance, one of the longest they’ve ever undertaken, they’ll feature both, allowing the girls to show off their respective strengths.

Modern a cappella group Luminos

For members of the 5-part modern a cappella group Luminos, music is all about bringing the light. The group consists of founding members Josh Maurer and Bethany Miller, Anne Zebell and Jesse and Jessica Maurer, who have performed together since 2021. The group has grown a lot musically, with plans for recording and national performances this year.

Singer-songwriter Isabelle Pouya

Isabelle Pouya, 18, of Granger has been a songwriter for as long as she can remember. Current events and social issues are often themes of her songs. She describes her musical style as a blend of pop, modern and blues, and names Adele as her No. 1 influence.

Psychological illusionist Jon Wayes

Jon Wayes of Mishawaka is living his childhood dream. He started practicing magic when he was only 8 years old. Today, he travels all over the Midwest as a psychological illusionist – bringing magic and mentalism to audiences of all types.

Meet Our Judges

Thirty local acts will audition in front of our panel of judges, who will select four finalists to advance to Oaklawn’s Got Talent on May 12, 2023, at the Lerner Theatre! Winners will be determined by popular vote of the audience at the event!

Zach Miller

Zach is co-host of the B100 Morning Show. Just like Chick-fil-A – he’s a transplant from outside of Atlanta, living and working in our community! In addition to working in radio, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and two kids: Jonah & Hadley; plus the fur baby, Sunny. 

Ashley Martin

Ashley is Executive Vice President of NIBCO INC., and represents the fifth generation of Martin family leadership. Martin co-founded the American Supply Association Women in Industry group and currently serves on the Boards for the Indiana United Way, the United Way of Elkhart County and the Stanley Clark School in South Bend, Ind. 

KARI TARMAN

Kari is Executive Director of the Foundation for Oaklawn, where she has worked for eight years, and founder of Oaklawn’s Got Talent. She’s passionate about expanding mental health and addiction resources in our community and raising funds and awareness for treatment and prevention programs.
