Learn about Oaklawn’s new youth mobile response team dedicated to working with youth and families in crisis.

Learning objectives: Participants will leave with an understanding of:

  • How to access youth mobile response for your clients and the community.
  • The roles of the youth mobile response team.
  • How you can play an important part of the stabilization continuum.
  • How to contact with questions regarding implementation of YMR.

Trainings are open to clinicians, social service agency workers, front-line staff, teachers and anyone interested in mental health services.

Clinicians who complete this training will receive one (1) category 1 CEU.

Meet the Trainers:

  • Emily Robinson Johnson is the Director of Community Partnership and has worked in community mental health for over 25 years. She has been a part of the system of care work in Indiana since 2002, creating system change in our mental health systems. Currently she leads the work to build youth serving programs in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties.
  • Derrick Perry, BS, has spent the past 15 years working in the mental health field with high-risk youth and families and is currently assisting in the launch of Youth Mobile Response Teams. Derrick is passionate about dismantling mental health stigma and the school to prison pipeline.
