Overlooked Addictions: Gambling

Gambling is continuing to increase in the state of Indiana and our nation. With increased access to casinos, sports betting and online betting comes in increase in gambling disorders. Join John Horsley, MBA, MSW, LCSW, LCAC, and Oaklawn’s Vice President of Adult and Addiction Services, and Jason Pensky, an Oaklawn peer coach in recovery from a gambling addiction, as they discuss the complexities of this growing issue and best practices for treatment.
As a result of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
– Identify the symptoms of problem gambling.
– Understand the prevalence of gambling disorders and the gaming-gambling connection.
– Know common co-occurring disorders and evidence-based treatments.
